Lauren Ruch Fine Art

Lauren is a painter who currently makes small scale oil paintings on canvas and wood panels. She uses a limited palette of a few primaries and white which allows her to concentrate on mixing colors that harmonize in the final work. She looks for her painting to convey a mood or feeling through color and tone. Lauren enjoys painting plein air as well as spending time in the studio. Her landscapes are inspired by local areas because there is so much to see without having to go far. Lauren also loves creating still life compositions in her studio which often depict flowers, books and food.
